2018 Boca Grand Ladies Day Tarpon Tournament

I’m so pleased to announce that for the 8th year I’ve been selected as the featured artist for the Ladies Day Tarpon Tournament!  The event is held on Mother’s Day weekend each year, and it’s a great opportunity for female anglers to show their grit.  My original painting titled “Reelin Rosie” is a fun piece, and it’s featured on limited edition posters, apparel and marketing materials.  My inspiration was the famous 1942 image “We Can Do It” by artist J. Howard Miller, and this event seemed like the right time to highlight the strength, contributions and general awesomeness of women.

My wife wrote a nice piece in the Boca Beacon to lend insight about how the painting came to be.  Check it out when you get a chance!

Clayton’s Siesta Grille

If you live in the Sarasota area or like to visit Siesta Key Beach, stop into Clayton’s Siesta Grille the next time you’re around — not just for the food (awesome that it is), but also to see my artwork that adorns the walls there.  You’ll see favorites like my retro-style gals, but also, a few original paintings capturing some of my favorite things like fishing reels, burgee signs, and more.  Clayton’s has been around for about 15 years on the Key, and locals know it’s always a great experience!
