Summer's Here. . .Dive In!

New painting -- almost done and available soon at a gallery near you!  I love this one so much I plan to do another of a girl doing a cannon ball splash dive ("Make a Splash!").  Stay tuned!

Artwork Update

Gosh, has it been 2 months since my last post? Sorry about that!  Congrats to Virginia Witty of Rotonda, FL who submitted the winning entry for the contest to name my pirate girl painting.  "A Doggone Good Catch!" captured the essence of the painting, and it was a fun process along the way.  200+ responses in all!  Thanks to everyone who participated - it was a great project that Nicole and I enjoyed and we'll certainly try it again some day!

Tarpon Tournament Art

The Boca Grande Chamber of Commerce recently selected my artwork to represent the annual Ladies Day Tarpon Tournament in May, 2012.  This marks the fourth time the Chamber has made a great decision in selecting one of my paintings!  She's a cute pirate girl (pic to be posted soon), holding up a big Tarpon at the bow of the boat, while her little dog watches.

It's Cold in Florida!

This wintery weather makes me glad I've got a nice toasty studio to work on some paintings.  Now that my project manager days are done for my home deck project, the new year offers lots of possibilities for art business projects.  Working on a new painting of a cute pirate gal who just caught a tarpon while her little dog looks on.  Submitted for the juried review of the Boca Grande Ladies Day Tarpon Tournament (2012).  Will keep you posted!

Holiday Giving

Every year at this time my wife and I consider what to give to each other, our friends & our families.  It's always weird because we already feel so grateful for everything we have and don't really NEED anything besides our health, the roof over our heads, good food in the refrigerator, and each other.  This year we're mostly giving charitable donations to others who don't have it as good as we do, but I'm sure we'll still manage to find a little something that brings a smile to the other.  I feel so blessed. . .
