Reelin’ Rosie*

Call for Price

“Reelin’ Rosie” celebrates the 2018 Ladies Day Tarpon Tournament — a long-running event highlighting awesome Tarpon fishing in Boca Grande, and the amazing women anglers who catch those majestic fish.  It’s inspired by the famous 1942 image “We Can Do It” by artist J. Howard Miller.  Brendan’s image is designed to highlight the strength, contributions and general awesomeness of women!  As he was putting the finishing touches on her, the world learned that the original “Rosie the Riveter,” Naomi Parker Fraley, passed away at the age of 96, so the artist dedicates it to all the women who roll up their sleeves to tackle the jobs, pursuits and sports typically dominated by men.

36X24 inches, oil on panel.
